Welcome to the home of the Connecticut Marine Model Society.
We are a group of enthusiastic ship model builders from Connecticut.
The club was started in 1968. In 2001 the CMMS became a chapter of the International
Plastic Modeling Society(IPMS). We meet once a month from September to June in West Haven, Ct.
Once a we have a convention in New London, Ct. with clubs from Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. You can go to Club Events section on the Club News page to see our club meeting dates and special events schedule.
Our members enjoy building models from scratch or from kits; both wood and plastic. The subjects range from wooden sailing ship to present day ships of steel. Go to the Gallery page to view some model built by our members.
