Peter Carlin's model of the Emma C. Berry at a scale of 3/8"= 1' from the Model Ships' kit.  The photos start at the point when Peter finished adding the frames to the keel and constructed the interior.  It's ready for planking.

Trying to follow actual construction practices, Pete has added floors, lodging knees and clamps for deck beams.  The carlings are actually dovetailed into the beams. The portside of the deck will be fully planked while the starboard side will be left open.  It would be a shame to hide all that detailed work.

Ed Petrucci's Jefferson Davis (Scale is 7/64” = 1' 0”)
This revenue cutter, with hand carved figurehead, is not from Bluejacket. It's all Ed’s, even the
plans; Ed's drawing was done in light pencil some 20 years ago. I've used a “heavier hand”
to give you a look at his incredible draftmanship.

Jim Wiser's “Ship of the Pharaohs”

Note Jim's construction jig used to “flatten” 2 opposing sides of the tripod mast poles, using a clamp and pin to hold the mast poles steady while sanding. Once one side is done, the poles are turned over, the pin reinstalled, and the second side sanded. Below, brings out the seamstress in Jim. 80 holes on each side, the lower lacing aided by a brass rod installation, the rod held in place with the smallest eyebolt that still allows just enough room to get the needles to pass under.

The lacing acts as wale in stabilizing the hull.

Fred Kerson's Tonant
Fred pick up this Corel kit at a tag sale.  Due to a lack of instructions, it took a little figuring out.  Let the games begin.
